While James is new to the field of drug and alcohol recovery, he has volunteered at treatment programs throughout Melbourne and gained valuable insight and experience. He is passionate about using his skills and knowledge to support others on their recovery journeys.
For James, the most fulfilling part of his role is seeing clients complete their treatment and leave as transformed individuals. He is deeply moved by the effort clients put into their recovery, and being part of their journey to a happy, joyous, and free life is what “fills his cup.

Barbara is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in addiction recovery and counseling. Her career spans private rehab hospitals, government services, and 20 years as director of Refocus Rehabilitation. She is highly skilled in training and teaching, equipping professionals with evidence-based practices and practical strategies for counseling and group facilitation.
Known for her dynamic and engaging presentations, Barbara simplifies complex concepts into actionable learning. Her passion lies in fostering growth, resilience, and a meaningful impact within the field of addiction recovery.

Dara brings extensive experience in rehabilitation across Perth and Melbourne, mentoring communities and consulting with allied health professionals at Fitzroy Community Legal Centre. At Co Health, she advised staff on harm reduction practices, emphasizing dignity and respect for individuals who use drugs.
Passionate about fostering positive change, Dara finds fulfillment in helping clients move from despair to hope as they regain control of their lives. She is also deeply committed to addressing the intersectionality of drug use, recognizing the diverse factors shaping each individual’s journey.

Di has dedicated the past 15 years to the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector, contributing her expertise to renowned rehabilitation centers and hospitals across Victoria, including the Melbourne Drug Court.
As a trauma therapist, Di finds fulfillment in helping clients integrate past experiences, empowering them to live drug-free lives. Her work is deeply rewarding, enabling individuals to overcome the challenges of addiction and reclaim their futures.
In her role as a family therapist, Di cherishes witnessing families rebuild connections after addiction’s devastation. She describes restoring love and unity within families as her driving motivation: “It’s why I do what I do.”
As a systemic constellation therapist, Di explores the complexities of family dynamics and their influence on addiction and depression, offering transformative paths to healing and understanding for individuals and families alike.

Emma has worked in several treatment facilities within the private sector, bringing extensive knowledge and firsthand experience to her role as Program Manager.
Emma’s journey into this field stems from her own past experience with addiction and a deep desire to help others who struggle with the same disease. Her time in therapeutic environments ignited a passion for supporting recovering alcoholics and addicts in finding their path to recovery.
Emma thrives on the continuous challenges this work brings and values the opportunity to be a witness to the recovery journey of others. She treasures the chance to build meaningful relationships with clients and firmly believes in the power of connection and the importance of community in establishing and maintaining long-term recovery.

Heath Richardson is a counsellor, clinical supervisor, and group process facilitator deeply committed to supporting individuals on their journey to recovery. Drawing from his own experience with addiction, Heath understands the challenges of healing and brings both empathy and professional expertise to his work.
With over ten years in addiction and mental health services across public and private settings, he is known for creating a compassionate, safe space where clients feel truly seen and supported. Heath finds purpose in witnessing clients’ growth and resilience, and he is dedicated to guiding them toward healthier, more empowered lives.
